The flagship train of the Russian Railways is the Сапсан (Sapsan) – with a maximum speed of 250 km/h it links the capital of Moscow with Saint Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod in half the time of normal trains.
As well as a dining car, an in-seat food service is provided to first class passengers using aircraft-style trolleys.
There are also other luxuries, such as a rack for the fur coats that Russians love to wear.
As well as a shoe polishing machine at the end of the carriage.
However making yourself look good doesn’t have to stop there – feel free to pull out your hair straighter and plug it into a convenient power point.
And don’t be worried about bringing Fido along either – you can take him for a walk down the carriage to pass the time.
